Where is Waldo? Social Media Influencers can tell you!

I went to a Where is Waldo conference at Blank Spaces in LA yesterday. The topic of discussion was “Social Media Influencers”. Loop Network, Big Method, 5 one’s, Lucky, 360 and others where on the Panel.

They gave some great advice on what an influencer is, how to identify an influencer, how to find them and how to approach them.

It was very interesting see how much social media marketing has grown. A Twitter personality with 71K followers is worth a million bucks. This guy gets invited to parties, gets free product samples, invites to panels….just to state his opinion on his network. One thing I can tell you this new GEEK social media superstar is your man and you better be nice to him….or else he will dog you, your mom and your product!

Who is the IS AGENCY?!?

We are not a bunch of creative thinkers, marketing gurus or visionaries….We are the KID that like’s stuff that suddenly become trendy and the guy that creates things that are cutting edge! We are the ONES that you are trying to reach….we are the consumer, that target group, those brand whisperers. We are products of our generation and understand how to reach those that are in our community.
We eat your cerial in the morning, throw on them threads and slip on those kicks, then jump in that ride and cruise to a day of spreading the love (or not)…… about what we like and don’t about our jeans, the movie we saw, the video game that we played, the website we think is dope and the concert we attended.
Come to think of it we are those guys that grew up in Berlin, broke our hammers trying to break down the wall, walked the smelly streets of Venice, partied in Barcelona, started creating websites for our friends who then became known, started going big time for record labels and retro fashion designers, created our own t-shirt brand because nothing dope was coming out at the time that expressed how we felt, conceptualized a Chinese food take out box because we wanted to eat Chinese out of a white to go box like they do in “FRIENDS”, got bored of bohemian Berlin and hopped a plane to the City of Angels, to spread the LOVE, create cutting edge work, work that we like, that we think looks good. Because we are the ones that get Goosebumps sitting in the movie theaters watching that trailer, post videos on our profiles to share with our friends, share URLs of websites that take it to another level…. We are a group of individuals that came together and KNOW what exceptional work is. In order to produce this type of work you have to see and feel it. We are it or our work IS us!
